Bio
A versatile technical sound designer who has a passion for both audio and software engineering. My journey into audio programming began in my BSc audio technology degree where I developed audio applications and plugins using C++ and the JUCE framework. My passion for game audio began in the last year of my BSc where I learned how to implement game audio using audio middleware. From there it seemed a natural progression to combine knowledge of audio implementation and software engineering to become an audio programmer / technical sound designer. To further increase my skillset in both game audio and general game development I undertook a MSc in commercial video game development where I achieved a first-class degree. Furthermore, as well as focusing on game audio and programming I also branched into game development to gain a comprehensive understanding of game engine architecture. For the dissertation of my MSc I developed an XML dialogue system for Unity which could allow users to author dialogue with unlimited conditions. These XML files could be loaded into Unity and the developed system would handle all elements of dialogue, dictated by the XML file. Additionally, I undertook an internship for the Manhattan music tracker software with the role of game designer, where I was responsible for the game development of a serious of mini-games where audio was implemented through the Manhattan software.
